Wildlife Safari of Bandhavgarh National Park
Bandhavgarh is justifiably famous for its Tigers, but it has a wide range of other game. The undergrowth is not as dense as in some northern terai forests, but the best time to see the park inhabitants is still the summer months when water becomes more scarce and the undergrowth dies back.
 
The most effective way to search for Tigers is on elephant back. It's advisable tobook your elephant in advance and to wear plenty of warm clothings if going for an early morning ride in winter. The mahouts are kept well informed of the whereabouts of the nearest Tigers. However there are many tigers in the park and the elephants are able to take you up steep, rocky hillsides and down marshy riverbeds, which are impassable to vehicles
 
Bandhavgarh - Leaves don't rustle! Water doesn't trickle! Grasses stop to move! Even the wind pauses to hold its breath and watch the drama unfold! splash the water. Spotted Deers let out the alarm call.

Bandhavgarh shot into fame with Charger and Sita sightings in mid nineties, ever since there has been no looking back for this national park in MP. The Tiger density in the Tala zone of this park puts rest of the parks to shame. A rare jewel as far as Tiger sightings are concerned, Bandhavgarh attracted lot of media attention for the number of Tigers one would see in each Safari. Tourists would come out of the park saying they saw 4, some 5, some even 6 in just one safari. Sounds unbelievable, but it is 100% true.

How To Reach There :
By Rail:
Nearest railway station is Umaria after Katani railway station, from there it is about 40 minutes drive to Nature Heritage. Alternatively, take the overnight train from Delhi to Umaria and drive (30 minutes) to the park. Only jeeps are available for transfers. Khajuraho / Bandhavgarh distance is 250 Kms, (8 hrs drive).

Day 02: Delhi – Sightseeing
Morning after breakfast full day sight seeing tour of Sahajahanabad, now known as Old Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, Jama Musjid - the largest mosque of India , Red Fort, President’s house and the Secretariat buildings, India Gate – The War Memorial, Qutub Minar and Lotus Temple (also known as Bahai Temple ).  Overnight at Hotel.
 
Day 03:Delhi – Umaria by Train – Bhandhavgarh by road.    
Morning after early breakfast transfer to Railway station for Train to Uamaria.

Day 06: Arrive Agra .
Arrive Agra by afternoon visit the world famous Mausoleum – The Taj Mahal. An unique epitome of Love built by Moghul Emperor Shahjahan in 1630 for his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. A Sahajahan”s drop of tear on the cheek of Time that has now crystallized.
Later visit Agra Fort, built by Akbar and later extended by Jahangir and Shah Jahan.
Evening free, overnight at Hotel.
 
Day 07:  Agra – Jaipur (drive about 06hrs./245kms. )
Morning after  breakfast,  drive to Jaipur.
Enroute visit  the deserted city at Fatehpur Sikri(40 KMS from Agra ) built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned it just after 15 years due to the scarcity of water. Visit the graceful buildings – The punch Mahal, Anup Talab,Diwan-e- Khas, Tomb of the holy saint Salim Chisti,Buland Darwaza and other important palaces where one experiences not only the Architectural brilliance but also its perfect fusion.
Continue drive to Jaipur. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 08 :  In Jaipur
Morning at 0730hrs.  visit to Amber Fort, the ancient Capital of the state until 1728. Enjoy the Elephant ride up to the hill on which the Fort is situated. Visit the Jagmandir or the hall of victory, Jaimahal (Look at the beautiful mirror work and intricate inlay work) and the Temple of Goddess Kali .
Later city sightseeing tour visiting Maharaja’s City Palace and the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal or the Palace of winds through the rose - pink residential and business areas of Jaipur. Evening free to visit  the local  bazaar etc. Morning after break fast transfer to Railway station for train to Delhi , arrive Delhi pick-up & transfer to Airport for Flight to onward destination.
